I'm Not Lion - This glitter is wild!

Hi ya'll,

Today I want to show you this incredible glitter polish from China Glaze's latest collection, Safari.

It's called I'm Not Lion - and it is wild!

I wasn't really sure if I wanted it or not when I saw the swatches, but I ordered it anyway - and boy, am I glad I did so.

It's absolutely amazing. It is right up on the shelve with amazing glitters - together with the famous collection of Eye Candy 3D-glitters.

The formula in this one was perfect, it was easy to apply. As with all other glitters it was a pain to clean up around the nail, though ;)

I've used three coats and topped with Seche Vite for the pictures below (direct sunlight):

I seriously can't stop looking at this beauty. It's said to be silver with holographic glitter, but it sure does look champagne to me.

I don't think that brings it down one bit, actually just the opposite. It's very sophisticated, yet still festive.

The pictures doesn't really show how much this pretty one glimpses, it's just one of those shades that really should be seen 'live'.

I thought the glittery shades would stand back from the neons this Summer, but now I'm sure it's gonna read glitter fest all over the year of 2012  ;)

NOTD: SATC nails

Hey guys,

This weekend Mister Man is away working, so all of the mice are dancing on the tables.

Or in other words: there's a Sex & The City marathon on my TV ;)

After the first two seasons I felt so inspired I had to paint my nails pink and then the (old) New York Skyline.

And the shoes are inspired by... well, I guess it goes without saying ;)

I'm really pleased with how this mani turned out - now I just have to figure out what to do on the other hand - since I can't write the girls' names, I think it's just gonna be pink - maybe with a skyline as well.

The pink base colour is Models Own Pastel Pink, and all of the black is painted free hand in black acrylic lacquer.

The hearts are made of China Glaze Dance Baby and with OPI Teenage Dream over to make them sparkle. You need some sparkle when doing a SATC-mani, right?

As I said, I really like how this turned out :)
I'm a Carrie fan... Right now I'm at season 5 - I think that is my favourite... This or season 6 - I mean, the last two episodes in Paris... perhaps the best two of the whole series.

Who's your favourite of the girls - and do you have a favourite season or episode?

Chock a l'Orange

I just love orange and coral nail polish, so when I started falling for the neon trend a couple of months ago, I also started the search for that perfect neon orange.

I've looked through the orange range of Essie, OPI and China Glaze and came across some very bright orange shades. But none of them were the exact right neon one.

So when I saw swatches of Orly's new Summer collection, Feel The Vibe, I knew my search had come to an end.

Melt Your Popsicle is the most amazing bright neon orange shade I've ever seen in any nail polish. It just makes my fingers glow, and I seriously can't stop looking at it.

It was a little difficult to get my camera to show the right colour, but I think these pictures are pretty good in showing it right (taken outside in the shade):

Like in most other neon lacquers, the formula is quite thin and runny, and it's not very opaque.
In these pictures, I've used two coats of MYP over Nubar Cloud White.

Also it dries matte, so I've used a coat of Seche Vite to make it shiny :)

This is absolutely my favourite neon of all the ones I got!

Matching nails and shoes

Hi guys!

A few weeks ago I was invited to a party. It was Mister Man's nephew's 15th Birthday, so I knew it wasn't gonna be anything wild - and so I wore a pretty white dress with my favourite shoes (9 cm heels!)

Since my dress was plain white, I wanted to do something special for my nails. I was thinking about a crazy colour to spark things up a bit, but decided to go with a matching solution instead.

I'm very pleased with the result, and it was noticed by all the women at the party ;)

I love the gold and black laces together, and wanted to find something similar from a stamping plate. Which I did with Bundle Monster plate BM20.

The gold polish is GOSH - Gold.

Natural light, shadow:

Artificial light + flash (so a little on the yellow side :/ )

DIY: How to make a light box and take great photos

Hi guys!

I've just bought myself a light box - and I absolutely love it! But before I threw money after a semi-pro light box, I made one myself out of an old parcel box.

It was very easy and the quality of the pictures that I took for my Danish blog was improved by far.

Perhaps there's some of you out there who'd like to know how to make such a light box?

If so, keep on reading. I will guide you through the very simple method.
